Remembering Matthew Gerber
|
It is with deep sadness we announce Matthew Gerber, father of Shaya, Rachael, and Sarah, and husband of Maria has passed away.
Out of respect for Mr. Gerber, whose daily service to our school community touched the lives of students, faculty, and staff, classes were canceled on Friday to allow all who wished to attend his funeral.

Celebrating Catholic Schools Week
AHN celebrated Catholic Schools Week, giving thanks to its community, students, nation, vocations, faculty, staff and volunteers.
On Thursday, the nine juniors and seniors who attended the National Catholic Youth Conference in Indianapolis, IN gave a presentation on their experience to encourage their classmates to learn more about their faith and religion.
| |
On Wednesday, students participated in a service opportunity, crocheting "tiny hearts" to include in Valentine's Day cards to be delivered to local nursing homes and Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (SNJM).
Catholic Schools week provided time to reflect on the opportunities and experiences we have because we are part of a school that focuses on all aspects of growth, including spiritual growth.
Those opportunities included a special luncheon held Thursday with Sisters of the Holy Names.

Earlier in the evening the JV squad also won its matchup.
On Tuesday, it took overtime, but the varsity squad continued its win streak, topping Mohonasen 64-59 behind a 19 point performance from Maggie Volmer.
Next up for both teams, Friday night matchups versus Catholic Central on the road.

AHN’s Legacy of Arts and Entertainment Provides Inspiration for Alumna Director
|
The more things change, the more they stay the same. That’s been the experience of Maureen Baillargeon Aumand ’64, who says while the years and the technology may have advanced over the decades, the values of AHN continue to hold strong.
“My most cherished memories from my AHN years besides a strong sense of tradition and camaraderie have to do with Glee Club and exposure to the arts in many forms,” says Aumand.
