Winning Weekend for Panthers
Thank you to all who showed up — many decked out in red — to support this year’s Coaches versus Cancer game for Blood Cancer United!
Shoutout to the event’s organizer, senior Cassie Bellinger, and DJ Ritz Carlton (father of Elizabeth ‘28 and Lily ‘30) for providing a memorable experience. A special tribute was also paid to Todd Henzel (father of junior Abigail).
As icing on the cake for the evening, Holy Names defended the home court against RCS, 45-31, led by Times Union Athlete of the Week Maggie Volmer’s 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Less than 24 hours later, your Panthers continued their winning ways at home! In a nail-biter, the varsity squad topped Mohonasen 67-62 behind Maggie Volmer's 21 points. The Panthers moved to 10-5.
Earlier, the JV team also won its game, 38-25. The teams are back in action at home Friday night starting at 5.
Not to be outdone, our sixth-grade CYO team also was victorious, topping Voorheesville 34-14
