You Are Beautiful
A special assembly was held Wednesday morning for "You Are Beautiful" Day. Students were able to make sashes detailing what characteristics they think make them beautiful. Inspiring messages were also left on lockers and written on the windows in the senior hallway.
A shoutout to Student Styles for their assistance in supplying us these groovy shirts and to AHN's Parent Association for helping make the day a success!

Happy Lunar New Year!
Prior to our "You Are Beautiful" festivities, senior Grace K., representing the Multicultural Club, presented to the school about the start of one of the most important and widely celebrated festivals in Chinese culture. This year is the "Year of the Snake."
The new year falls on different dates each year to coincide with the lunar calendar, and last for 15 days, concluding with a Lantern Festival.
The presentation was capped off with Mr. Patton teaching students how to say "Happy New Year" in Cantonese: Sun nin faai lok (新年快樂). A special bulletin board is also on display now in our lobby.

Staff v Students
What would You Are Beautiful Day be without a Faculty/Staff v Students kickball game?
After a back and forth contest, the students eked out a walk-off win in extra innings.
