Academic Merit Scholars Receive Recognition

Congratulations to our Academic Merit Scholars. A special ceremony was held on Thursday led by Dr. Kilbridge, Principal Taranto, and Director of Enrollment Management Kendra Astemborski '07.

Each award recipient also received the traditional AHN yellow rose and pin symbolizing their growth and unfolding potential.

Sweethearts & Heroes Returns

Pat Fish from Sweethearts & Heroes returned to Holy Names this week for another round of Circle Training with students.

The visits are designed to bring students together to practice essential life skills such as active listening, self and social awareness, as well as relationship building. 

Day on the Farm

Thank you to our friends at Fenimore Farm and Country Village for a wonderful day on Wednesday! 

Led by Mrs. Eller, Mrs. Rose, Miss Meg, and Prof. Gibbons, grades six and seven took the trek to Cooperstown to spend some time on the farm visiting animals, do some 1800’s-style learning, and even managed to get some yard work done the old fashioned way! Who doesn’t enjoy aeration on stilts? 

Students Devour Lesson on Ancient Rome

You know it's a good day when Mr. Otto from Metro 7 Diner pays a visit!

Grade 6 just completed its lesson on Ancient Rome, which meant it was time to mangia! 

Field Day Closes Out Year for Grades 6 and 7

Grades six and seven closed out the school year with a Field Day filled with fun activities!

Students signed each other's shirts, and asked faculty for their autographs as well. Breakfast for lunch was served in The Commons. Games were also played, including kickball and rock-paper-scissors to clothespin tag. The festivities wrapped up with bracelet-making, and some "Just Dance" with Mr. Franzini.

A Class of ‘81 reunion!

Admissions Director Ann Travers, Nancy Quimby, and Diane Madrigal attended classmate Megan Ruch’s art exhibit in Albany over the weekend. More than 60 paintings were on display.

Spring Break 2027 Heading to Costa Rica

We feel like we're still unpacking from Japan, but now it's time to get ready for next year's international adventures, as AHN teams up with ACIS Travel to prepare for Costa Rica in 2027.

The trip will occur during Spring Break, and is open to current high school students.
