For 24 hours, the AHN community came together to improve the daily experience of every Holy Names student.
We are 2/3 of the way toward our goal of $50,000 to expand The Commons serving area to reduce wait times and give students more time to eat, connect, and recharge. More time for friendships and laughter. More time for belonging. More time to reset before heading back to class ready to learn. You can watch the video for more details.

Food Madness Bracket Challenge
Leading in to ALLinforAHN, students, faculty and staff were able to vote on their favorite Giambona lunch items in our own version of March Madness.
After some close competition, garlic knots emerged as champion, and Mr. Giambona graciously added the fan favorite to Friday's menu!

International Women's Day Prayer Service
A prayer service was held on Monday in recognition of International Women's Day, the global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.
This year’s theme is “Give to Gain,” which emphasizes when people, organizations, and communities give generously through donations, knowledge, resources, infrastructure, visibility, advocacy, education, training, mentoring, or time, opportunities and support for women increase.

L.O.V.E. Club Celebrates Women's History Month

Middle School Pep Rally
It was a neon-themed Pep Rally for the Middle School on Friday.
School spirit and class participation was on full display for grades six through eight as the students competed in games ranging from tug-of-war to Hungry Hungry Hippos and Mummy.

Water Bottle Drive
In an effort to save sea turtles and other marine life, sixth-graders Vivi and Avianna are collecting empty water bottles through the end of the year. Students, parents, faculty and staff can drop theirs off in the marked boxes in the lobby.
When full, the bottles will be dropped off at a Clynk location. Proceeds from the dropoff will be donated to the Center for Coastal Studies, which promotes stewardship, raises awareness, and increases understanding of marine and coastal environments.

Award Winners Galore
Congratulations to Ana Guerra and Maeve Joyce for their performances at the NYSPHSAA Indoor Track and Field Championships!
Ana’s 600m Sectional Distance Medley Relay Team finished 3rd, and Maeve broke the school record she just set in the 3000m, good enough for 10th!
Congratulations are also in order for Maggie Volmer and Jeniyah Wood for being named Section II Class A Basketball Tournament All-Stars.
And to sixth-grader Alice, who, along with her figure skating team placed 3rd in Canadian Nationals over the weekend!
This follows Alice's (solo) 3rd place finish at the Empire State Games.
