Vivian Named New Director of Institutional Advancement
Kristin Vivian, a former member of the Holy Names Board of Trustees, has been named AHN’s new Director of Institutional Advancement. Vivian is stepping down from her board role, which she held for three years, to accept the position.

“I am honored to take up the role of Director of Institutional Advancement,” Vivian said. “I recognize the impact of Nora Ritinski, the previous director, and I look forward to working on behalf of a school I love, forming relationships with Alumnae and other community members who recognize the value of an AHN education for young women.”
Come Experience the Magic:
Open House Next Week
By Dr. Martin Kilbridge
Every day I witness the unique magic of Holy Names and its impact on young women: hugs of greeting between classmates at morning drop off, confidence in front of a large audience, active engagement in collaborative learning. It is no wonder that the happy and purposeful environment we cultivate here carries forward to our graduates as they live meaningful and fulfilling lives. A Holy Names education makes a difference in the lives of young women now and in their futures. This is a two-fold message that needs to be spread.
PLUS: if you refer another family to next week's Open House and they attend and provide your name, you will receive a $50 Wicked Smart gift card for AHN apparel!
Reading for a Good Cause
Mrs. Taranto and her middle school classes need your help! They're reading this month to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region, and have formed a fundraising team. Follow the link for more on how you can support their efforts.
Guest Speakers Educate Students on Underground Railroad
A special assembly was held on Monday in honor of Black History Month.

AHN’s Black Student Alliance, led by Ms. Ibañez, welcomed Mary Liz and Paul Stewart, independent scholars and co-founders of Underground Railroad Education Center.

The Center’s mission is to research and preserve the local and national history of the Underground Railroad movement. Their efforts were recently featured in the Times Union.
