Bishop Pays a Visit to Celebrate Ascension Thursday
It was a very special liturgy for Ascension Thursday.
Not only was the traditional reading of the senior quotes held ahead of the service, but Bishop Edward Scharfenberger, D.D. and Father Bob Longobucco joined us to preside over the liturgy. We thank them for taking time out of their busy schedules to celebrate with us.
We also had the pleasure of welcoming a new class of Eucharistic Ministers, as Father Bob commissioned: Bridget Burke, Colleen Carey, Lexi Cristalli, Ryleigh Hotaling, and Casey Noll. Congratulations to all!

Middle Schoolers Head to Bean Town
Our 8th grade class had a memorable trip to Boston this week!
Under the guidance of Mrs. Eller, the group visited the Science Museum and saw a planetarium presentation. They also participated in a Duck Tour and were able to take turns driving the boat along the Charles River.
The day wrapped up with food and shopping in the famed Quincy Market.

Middle Schooler Finds Home at
Holy Names
Sophie, with her mother, Diane, who is an employee here at AHN.
Seventh-grader Sophie Wilson marches to the beat of her own drum. The youngest of her siblings, Sophie is a leader. She is not a Holy Names legacy – her older sister attended a different school. Sophie wanted to carve out her own path. So, when a friend told her how much she loved AHN, Sophie decided to see for herself.
After taking a tour with her family, Sophie says she found everything she was looking for in a school. “When I first started at Holy Names, I found immediately I was exposed to new people, and many opportunities to get to know them.”

Students Learn about Revolutionary Wardrobe
It’s the day many wait all year for! Not just because it was the last day of classes for seniors, but it’s the time of the year when Mr. Franzini goes all out to teach his students about uniforms worn during the Revolutionary War.
Here he can be seen sporting a replica of one worn by the 7th Mass Regiment.

Seniors Decorate Graduation Caps

With less than a week to go, graduation fever is sweeping through the halls of AHN!
The seniors had an opportunity to have a bit of fun in The Commons Friday afternoon, decorating special graduation caps for the big day. During next Thursday's ceremony, they'll still don the traditional cap and gown, but the event, organized by Mrs. LeBuis-Koenig, gives them a chance to express a bit more of their personalities!
