Congratulations, Class of 2026!
With some pomp, and a little circumstance, we bade a fond "see you later" to the Class of 2026 with the 137th Commencement Exercises Friday morning.
The invocation was given by Bishop Mark O'Connell followed by the opening address from Senior Class President Ella Schoenborn and keynote address from Jennifer Corona '88 P '26 '29. After the conferring of diplomas and address to seniors by Principal Taranto, Shaya Gerber delivered the closing address. Click the images to watch.

Alumnae Induction Ceremony
The Class of 2026 has completed the next step on its journey.
The Senior Alumnae Induction Ceremony was held on Tuesday to welcome its newest members.
Alumnae from various class years were in attendance to bestow students with the ceremonial bells. Friends and family members were also on hand for the blessing of the graduates.
At the ceremony, the senior class was proud to announce its donation of $2500 for upgrades to Mrs. Lebuis-Koenig’s Learning Workshop.

Awards Convocation
Congratulations to all award recipients at this year's Awards Convocation. 100% of the graduating class were accepted to 4-year colleges and universities.
Thursday's ceremony also observed the traditional "moving up" exercise of grade levels, and the presentation of Profile, AHN's high school yearbook, which was dedicated by yearbook staff to Mr. Baxter.
Congratulations to Shaya Gerber and Mrs. Baxter, recipients of the 40th Annual Capital Region Students and Teachers Who Make a Difference award!

Cap Decorating
Mrs. LeBuis-Koenig’s Learning Workshop doubled as a bedazzling studio on Monday. Seniors showed off their creative side by decorating their caps for graduation!

Track Team Places 4th in Council Championships
Congratulations to the Outdoor Track and Field team, which competed Tuesday in the Colonial Council Championships, finishing 4th overall.
Maeve Joyce swept the night with wins in the 800m, 1500m, and 3000m. Tara Brady won the shot put while Georgia Boggs won the triple jump and the long jump.
The night was capped off with the team’s senior night recognition ceremony when they honored Georgia Boggs, and Shaya and Rachael Gerber.
Over the weekend, Maeve was named 2026 champion in the 3000m with a season best performance, while also placing 4th overall in the 1500m and at the 83rd Annual William F. Eddy Memorial Track and Field Invitational in Schenectady.
In other news, led by our Athletic Director, Mr. Martell, several Panthers attended The 2026 Colonial Council Varsity Sportsmanship Summit Monday.
The event brings together student-athletes and coaches from across the conference districts to connect, build leadership skills, and discuss sportsmanship.

Capital Region Chamber of Commerce
Academy of the Holy Names was established in 1884 and offers a student-centered education for girls in grades 6–12, delivered with expertise and a passion for inspiring students to become active leaders in service to others. The school is part of an international network of schools sponsored by Holy Names Educational Ministries. Looking ahead, the Academy’s future goals include sharing its story with a broader audience, ensuring long-term financial sustainability, expanding academic programming and the student experience, and continuing to build upon its mission and values through its Strategic Plan.

Courtesy of The Community Foundation of the Capital Region and The Bender Scientific Fund, Holy Names is receiving a $10,500 grant to support its Science Research Program, as well as the purchase of new chemistry equipment!
The grant was established for the exclusive purpose of making grants to support and promote discovery and development in medicine, science and technology in the Capital Region.

What a moment for Constance O’Brien ‘81! From Class President to Catholic Charities Board Member getting an audience with the Pope!
During a private audience, O'Brien and CCUSA President and CEO Kerry Alys Robinson gave Pope Leo a bound book that includes narratives and portraits of all 42 storytellers from the People of Hope Museum, a CCUSA-produced museum that celebrates the power of Christian service.

Spring Break 2027 Heading to Costa Rica
We feel like we're still unpacking from Japan, but now it's time to get ready for next year's international adventures, as AHN teams up with ACIS Travel to prepare for Costa Rica in 2027.
The trip will occur during Spring Break, and is open to current high school students.
