Celebrating the Ascension

It's hard to believe it's been 40 days since Easter, but that number is significant in the liturgical calendar, and AHN's Campus Ministry marked the occasion on Thursday with the Solemnity of the Ascension. This Mass commemorated the ascension of Jesus into Heaven.

A special thank you to Fr. Bob Longobucco for celebrating with us and our seniors, who were honored with the giving of gifts from the underclass, as well as the reading of senior quotes by the juniors.

Hail, Holy Queen!

AHN’s Middle School celebrated the May Crowning on Tuesday.



The traditional ceremony is held during the month of May to honor Mary, the Mother of God, as the Queen of Heaven. Tuesday's procession was led by Grade 8 Class President Lauren Pero, who presided over the crowning of our courtyard statue with a crown she made herself.

Raising Mental Health Awareness

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, students made Mindfulness Glitter Jars which can help reduce anxiety by being a source of grounding and mindful observation.

Grade 8 Taken to New Heights

After engaging in activities in the Campus Arts Center led by retreat team leaders Maddie and Josephine on Wednesday, it was off to Albany's Indoor Rock Gym for our grade 8 students!

Led by Mrs. Eller, Ms. Moran, and Ms. Witherspoon, the group was able to show off their climbing skills.

Panthers on the Right Track

Varsity softball paid tribute to its lone senior on the roster this season ahead of its penultimate regular season home game. Congratulations to Sophia Scaccia! The team is scheduled to host Troy on Friday.

Congratulations are also in order for the varsity track and field team on its success Monday at Lansingburgh, including several first place finishes from Maeve, Tara, Georgia, and Ana!

A shoutout also to the 4x800m Relay team for its 2nd place finish.

In lacrosse, the varsity squad picked up a road win versus Mohonasen-Schenectady on Tuesday. On Thursday, senior Chloe Friedman reached the 100 career goal milestone in the team's regular season finale!

In basketball news, congratulations Maggie, Jeniyah, and Julia, for being named to the NYSSWA All-State team!

Spring Break 2027 Heading to Costa Rica

We feel like we're still unpacking from Japan, but now it's time to get ready for next year's international adventures, as AHN teams up with ACIS Travel to prepare for Costa Rica in 2027.

The trip will occur during Spring Break, and is open to current high school students.
