Gala Support Thank You

Auction Items Up for Bid

It was a night to remember at the Glen Sanders Mansion for our annual Spring Gala.

Thank you to our sponsors, honorary committee members, faculty, staff, students, alumnae and all members of the Holy Names community who came together to make the evening possible. Together we were able to raise more than $200,000 to support the Momentum Initiative (watch video to learn more).

Congratulations, again, to John and Kellyanne Healey Murray '77 P'13 for receiving the John Henry Farrell Building the Future Award, and a shoutout to our dynamo of a host, Mrs. Joan Lipscomb Arthurton '87!

MSA Accreditation Update

In April, President Kilbridge informed the community of the Self-Study we will be conducting over the course of the next year to be re-accredited by the Middle States Association. In his communication, he said a survey would be conducted in early May. Parents, Faculty and Staff members, and other adult stakeholders will be receiving a link to the Stakeholder Survey in the coming days. Students will receive a separate Student Survey. All surveys will be due Friday, June 5.

Meanwhile, the Planning Team will begin forming committees to review each of the following standards:

Foundations (mission and values),

Governance and Organization,

Student Well-Being,

Resources (including funding and facilities),

Teaching and Learning,

Charism and Faith Formation

Using survey responses and other relevant data, the committees will identify areas of strength as well as opportunities for growth. We are grateful to all members of the community for their participation and support throughout this important process.

Spring Concert and Dance Recital

The hills were alive with the sound of music on Thursday for AHN's annual Spring Concert and Dance Recital.

AHN's Dance Ensemble, led by Miss Michaela, performed three numbers, including one choreographed by seniors Riley, Sabrina, and Cheryl.

The night was capped with Middle School Chorus and the High School Choral Ensemble singing various selections from 'The Sound of Music," as well as hymns, folk, and protest songs. Follow the link to visit our YouTube page and watch select (non-copyrighted) numbers from the evening.

Show Highlights Work of Student Artists

All of AHN's middle and high school student art talent was on full display Thursday for the annual Art Show.

The show featured works from our three AP students, as well as fibers, ceramics, studio art, and others.

Student Work on Display after Contest Submission

Congratulations to Emma Schweitzer on being named "runner up" at the 2026 Congressional Art Competition hosted by Rep. Paul D. Tonko.

Her artwork, “A 1900’s European Breakfast,” will be on display in Congressman Tonko's district office in Saratoga.

College Shirt Day

Thursday was Shirt Day, and our seniors celebrated their acceptances by sporting swag from their future alma maters!

However, once a Panther, always a Panther!

Teacher Appreciation Week

Reagan ‘31 and friends wanted to remind our esteemed educators how much we value them during this Teacher Appreciation Week!

Senior Signs Letter of Intent, 6th Grader Has Olympic Dreams

Congratulations to senior Chloe Friedman, who this week signed her letter of intent to play lacrosse for Reinhardt University Athletics!

Chloe and the varsity lacrosse squad dodged raindrops and defenders en route to a 16-13 home victory over Greenwich-Cambridge! JV followed suit on the road vs La Salle, winning 14-8 in a downpour.

Congratulations also go out to the track team on its success at Ravena Tuesday with first place finishes from Maeve Joyce (1500m), Tara Brady (Shot put), Georgia Boggs (Long and triple jumps), and Ana Guerra (400m dash; placed 2nd in 200m).

Last but not least, congratulations to sixth-grader Addison, who has been named to the USA Luge National Junior Olympic Team!

Spring Break 2027 Heading to Costa Rica

We feel like we're still unpacking from Japan, but now it's time to get ready for next year's international adventures, as AHN teams up with ACIS Travel to prepare for Costa Rica in 2027.

The trip will occur during Spring Break, and is open to current high school students.
