Remembering Coach Cherubino
Administrations past and present were among the many gathered Wednesday to pay their final respects to Coach Carlo Cherubino. The outpouring of love from students, faculty, and staff along with so many others who knew “Bino” was a testament to a life well-lived.
Following Wednesday's service, Kaitlin Close ‘15, Arissa Spitalny ‘15, Caroline Seely ‘18, and Katie Alderisio ‘16 stopped by campus to visit and pay tribute to Coach Cherubino.

“He was the total package, a great runner, a great friend and a great coach … the total package.”
That’s how long-time Colonie High coach Frank Myers described Carlo Cherubino, who had coached track and field, cross country and soccer at Academy of Holy Names for decades before he died at the age of 71 last Thursday after a brief illness.

The Evangelist: AHN mourns loss of coach, teacher
Carlo Cherubino, a beloved coach and teacher at the Academy of the Holy Names, died Nov. 14 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, after a brief illness.
“Carlo was a gifted educator and coach who inspired and nurtured our school community in countless ways,” said Dr. Martin Kilbridge, president of Holy Names. “He embodied the high standards and sincere devotion to forming strong young women we hold dear at Holy Names. His spirit will live on in our hearts.”
