Thank you to everyone who made our Open House such a smashing success!
We couldn't have done it without the efforts of our student ambassadors, faculty, staff, coaches, parents, and alumnae volunteers who were on hand to showcase the best of AHN.
Guests were treated to campus tours, as well as presentations from senior class president Morgan Brewer '25, and alumna Joan Lipscomb Arthurton '87.

Donating Funds to Alzheimer's Research
Academy of the Holy Names and The Alzheimer's Association of NENY partnered to provide education to students about Alzheimer's Disease and related dementia during the months of September and October. Students and community members raised more than $1,100 to support research through a school dress down day and a walk team for the Albany area Walk to End Alzheimer's at Siena College in October.
Beth Smith-Boivin ‘09, Executive Director of the Alzheimer's Association of NENY helped AHN connect with The Goldberg Foundation which supports Alzheimer's education activities and families impacted by the disease. The Foundation has committed funds in support of Partners in Education which includes an educational partnership with the Alzheimer's Association of NENY. On Thursday, Kristin Vivian P ‘14 ‘17 along with Dr. Kilbridge presented Smith-Boivin with a check for the Association representing AHN’s fundraising efforts.

Holy Names Inspires Alumna to Life of Service | |
|
Service, a charism of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, is more than just a word at Academy of the Holy Names. It’s a way of life.
For a natural go-getter like MJ Naughton ’03, it’s a means of inspiration.
“During my senior year at Holy Names, when required to complete 100 hours of community service I was determined to do so well ahead of time. I achieved about 180 hours of local service and received an award for Service and Leadership that year.”

Alumna Turns Teas Set into Gift for AHN
Joann Scally Paulsen '52, spouse Dr. Carl Paulsen and sister, Mary Ellen Scally Conboy '61 pose for a photo following Joann's gift to Holy Names which resulted from the sale of a silver tea set, received as a 25th wedding anniversary gift. After unsuccessfully attempting to sell the tea set as is, Joann had the set melted and made into bars which were then sold to create the gift to AHN. This gift truly came from the heart! Many thanks to the Paulsens for their generosity and kindness.
