Breast Cancer Awareness Assembly
It was a sea of pink Tuesday in the Riley Auditorium for a special assembly to raise breast cancer awareness, organized by seniors Daniella Oberting and Anna Wasula.
We thank our special guest speakers: Judy Guilbo, a breast cancer survivor, Eileen Howe Bird, Executive Director of To Life!, Laisa Burgazoli '88, a Community Relations Liason at St. Peter's Cancer Care Center -- who encouraged all students to be brave and make sure their family members get screened -- and Katie Helm, a Social Worker at St. Peter's Cancer Care Center.

Students Register to Vote
Thank you to Maureen Bernstein P'12, Co-Chair of the High School Voter Registration Team for the Albany Chapter of League of Women Voters of Albany County, for stopping by Mr. Franzini's senior AP and Participatory Government classes Wednesday.
Representing the non-partisan organization, Mrs. Bernstein discussed with students the power of making their voices heard, whether in local and/or national contests. Students were also able to fill out voter registration forms. Those under 18 were able to pre-register, and those of age will now be able to participate for the first time on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5.
