Career Day
Thank you to all our guest panelists for Career Day, which included many alumnae, in fields ranging from healthcare and education to technology and the arts, who also took time to network with students during a special luncheon following group discussions.
We also want to thank our keynote speaker, Dr. Mary Edwards P '26 (mother of Molly), and Courtney Astemborski '10, who not only organized the day's events, but made her PantherVision debut alongside Student Council President Morgan Brewer.

Middle School Retreat
While the high schoolers were participating in Tuesday's career fair, the middle school took time to practice mindfulness and gratitude, among other things. The students were led in a yoga session by Mrs. J-Z. They also were able to work on their strategizing and cooperation skills as they competed to see who could build the highest and most sturdy tower out of dry spaghetti and marshmallows.

Students Light up the Night
AHN in the Community: Ella '28, Gracie '28, Lucy '28, and Peyton '31 volunteered at LLS Light The Night at Siena College over the weekend.
The community event raises awareness and funds for research, advocacy, and support for those with blood cancers.
The students were in charge of the Kids Zone prior to participating in festivities with attendees, which included Ella’s and Peyton’s dad who is in remission.
Collectively, they raised more than $2,500 and Ella ended up as a Top 20 individual fundraiser for the event.

Domestic Violence Awareness
October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and a special assembly was held for students as the Social Justice club has been working to help raise awareness about the signs of abuse, ways to stop it, and the providing of available resources. Students were joined by guest speaker Hannah Taranto (aka daughter of Principal Taranto), a Mental Health Counselor at The Charlton School.

Scholarships help make the dream of a Holy Names education possible for a young woman wishing to attend.

Check your employer benefits to see if matching gifts are an option for you. Remember that AHN is a non-profit school, not a religious organization. Double your impact by taking the time to submit for a match.
