Blessed Mother Marie Rose,

we firmly believe in the power of your intercession with almighty God:

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We beg you to hear our humble prayers and to obtain for us the favors

which we now ask in the silence of our hearts.

God, our Father, knows all, can do all things and loves us.

Sure of God's love and strong in our faith, together with you,

Blessed Mother Marie Rose, we accept God's most holy will.

Through Jesus Christ, Amen.

Alumnae Weekend Underway

Welcome home, alumnae! The Reunion Weekend festivities are officially underway, with tours, networking, and a special showcase taking place in the Campus Arts Center.

Also on Friday, a memorial gathering and blessing was held as AHN's memorial garden was dedicated in honor of Brittany Boivin '09.

Follow the link for a list of the rest of the weekend's scheduled events.

Grade 8 Pin Ceremony

Congratulations to our eighth-graders who received their pins on Wednesday, officially cementing their role as leaders in the middle school.

The class of 2030 was presented their pins by Ms. Witherspoon, congratulated by Principal Taranto, and blessed by all family members in attendance. Perhaps the best part: they each received personalized cookies from Marcesco Foods!

More photos are available in our Gallery page at ahns.org.

Students Receive Life-Saving Training

The Commons was packed on Tuesday for “Stop the Bleed,” a free life-saving training course offered by our friends in Albany Med Health System’s Trauma Program. The event was organized by Molly Edwards (whose father helped lead the training) and Ashley Albritton, who teamed with the American College of Surgeons as part of their senior service project.

Students and adults were able to learn crucial techniques to stop bleeding until medical professionals arrive, and gain the confidence they need to intervene to control bleeding effectively.

Each participant received a certificate of completion.

Welcome to AHN!

Senior students hosted AHN's annual "Welcome Day" breakfast this week.

The event welcomes new faculty and staff, as well as any students who are new to the school. In addition to breakfast, each of the "newbies" was presented with welcome gifts from her senior sister.

More photos from the breakfast are available in our online gallery.

At the Car Wash

Thank you to all who came out on Sunday to support AHN’s Student Council car wash!

Divine Education

What can you find at Holy Names that you can’t find anywhere else? Our gorgeous chapel above Martin Hall, for starters.

On Thursday afternoon, Mrs. Eller’s sixth-grade Religion class began reading the story of creation, and was also able to learn more about the images depicted on the stained glass windows.
