Dr. Martin Kilbridge
The Network of SNJM Schools conference we hosted last week formally began with a Mass in Our Lady's Chapel, the second-floor chapel once used by the Sisters who lived in Martin Hall. It is a beautiful, sacred space filled with multicolored light flowing through the stained-glass windows dedicated to the holy names of Mary, including Morning Star, Queen of Peace, Cause of Our Joy, and Mother of Our Savior.
It is this last title—Mother of Our Savior—that I reflect upon as we commemorate All Saints Day today and All Souls Day tomorrow.

Thank You!
Thank you to those who attended our 2025 Gala and donated to the Paddle Raise which benefited the Partners in Education program. With the funding raised, Holy Names was able to provide tuition support to 10 students in need. The generosity and kindness shown will make a lasting impact for these students!

Assemblymember Visits with Students
Thank you to Assemblymember Gabriella A. Romero for visiting with class ambassadors and members of our Student Council on Thursday.
She answered thoughtful questions ranging from what inspired her into politics and what characteristics she thinks a good legislator possesses to what it’s like being a young woman in government.
Her advice: don’t let anyone outwork you!

Halloween Parade
Happy Halloween!
Students, faculty and staff were all in the spirit Friday for AHN's annual parade in the gymnasium, vying for the pride of being voted most creative costume in their respective grades/age groups.
Also, a special thank you to AHN's Parents Association for greeting everyone this morning with candy as they entered the school building!

Sophomore Day
Congratulations to the Class of 2028 which celebrated its Sophomore Day on Wednesday.
The class received gifts from fellow students, as well as their ceremonial pendants with "AHN" engraved on one side and their class year on the other.
They capped their day off with a retreat at St. Pius X School which was a homecoming for many current students who were happy to spend the day at their alma mater.

Cherubino Memorial Races
There aren't enough thanks to give for all the love and support received over the weekend for the Carlo Cherubino Memorial 5K and Youth Cross Country Races.
We could not have asked for better weather, and it was wonderful to see such a turnout of family, friends (shoutout to the UAlbany Tunnel Rats!), alumnae, students, and more. Thank you to all who ran, walked, volunteered, came just to support the participants or made contributions to the Carlo Cherubino Memorial Fund.
Congratulations to all the winners. We hope you hang your CC medals with pride, and we look forward to seeing you back next year!

Senior Volleyball Players Honored
Congratulations to varsity volleyball for its 2-1 home victory over Hudson Falls in the sectional quarterfinals on Thursday.
Next up: Burnt Hills at Saratoga HS next Wednesday.
Seniors Ally, Paulie, and Georgia, who were all honored ahead of the team's straight-sets victory over Voorheesville on Monday. JV volleyball was also victorious, winning 2-1 over Voorheesville on Monday.
Congratulations to Maeave Joyce for being named Colonial Council Champion!
The cross country team as a whole finished 6th, running in the rain at Thursday’s Council Championships. Shoutout to Sammi Weaver for finishing with one shoe! Way to go, Panthers!
The swimming and diving team also participated in the Colonial Council Championships this week, with four athletes setting personal records (Olivia, Riley, and Sofia L.).
Good luck to our cheer team which competes in Sectionals on Saturday at Albany High School.

| | Let's share our blessings this Thanksgiving by giving thanks and giving back! Junior Ladies of Charity is hosting a Thanksgiving food drive through November 15. They will be collecting non-perishables in the school lobby. All donations will go directly to the Regional Food Bank. Together, we can help make every table a little more full this holiday season. | | Seniors Collecting Stuffed Animals, Dolls | | |
As part of their senior service project, Sophia and Kate are looking to improve the quality of life of senior residents at Glendale Nursing Home!
Studies show stuffed animals and dolls provide a comforting object to hold, which can have a calming effect, particularly on dementia patients. They can also help foster connections with caregivers.
A donation box is available in the lobby.

We were grateful to have several alumnae there to share in the joy, including Angelina’s sisters Jillian Multari ’06 and Whitney Multari ’07, along with Meghan McCarty ’12 and Arianna (Clark) Tsenesidis ’12.

AHN will be offering its next academic scholarship opportunity for prospective students on Saturday, November 15.
The exam serves as a scholarship qualifying exam as well as assisting with student placement. Girls should arrive by 8:15 a.m. to sign in.
There is no fee for the exam and no specific requirements in preparing; however, it is important to get a good night’s sleep.
