Alumnae Reunions
Thank you to all who came out for Alumnae Weekend, including the members of the Class of '73 celebrating their 50-year reunion, and the Class of '98 celebrating their 25th! It was great to see so many familiar faces.
Reunion weekend was filled with fun activities, campus tours and receptions, as well as the Circle of Gold and Silver Induction Ceremony.
Alumnae were also on hand for the official ribbon-cutting for our new history wall mural.

Conboy '61 Honored for Lifetime Achievement
|
Congratulations to our Archives Coordinator Mary Ellen Scally Conboy ‘61 on receiving the Margaret Hoffman Riley ‘29 Lifetime Achievement Award. Through her efforts, the preservation of AHN’s history, including the production of the new history mural was possible.
The award is given annually during reunion weekend.

The varsity volleyball team continues its winning ways, adding three more W's this week after topping Cobleskill (3-0), Voorheesville (3-0), and Cohoes. The JV squad won two of its three matches this week, edging out Cobleskill (2-1) and Cohoes (2-1).
After notching its first victory of the season last week, the golf team added a tie, and win number two this week after topping LaSalle.
Varsity soccer added one to the win column on Thursday with a 4-0 shutout versus Lansingburgh.
Last and certainly not least, the cross country team was victorious over Albany Academy.
Also, we want to give a shoutout to AHN's Booster Club for making sure our home games are stacked with snacks! Thanks to Sarah Gerber '28 and mom Maria for manning the concessions for this week's volleyball games.

AHN's New Golf Coach Brings Experience, Demonstrates Drive
|
Golf may be an individual sport, but don’t tell that to Vanessa Fulmore. Starting at age seven, it became her favorite summer activity to do with her father, preparing her for youth leagues and tournaments across the state.
Born and raised in Western New York, Fulmore played years of competitive golf, including on the Junior PGA Tour. Her college journey took her to Division II and the College of St. Rose. “I felt so at home I decided to stay,” Fulmore says.

Grade Nine Retreat Focuses on Friendship
|
If it hasn't been your day, your week, your month, or even your year, everyone can relate. It's why maintaining quality relationships is important to help carry you through.
On Friday, in line with this year's school theme of kindness and forgiveness, the ninth grade class learned lessons in friendship.
Led by Ms. Moran, and assisted by Ms. Waddingham, and Ms. Pantuso, the students participated in various activities and held group discussions on the topic. They also made friendship bracelets, and wrote out what qualities were most important to them to have in a good friend.
| |
GRADE NINE ELECTIONS: Congratulations to Class President Julia Viglucci, Vice President Arabella Villegas, HR 9-1 Sofia Miron, HR 9-2 Maeve O'Brien!
The Black Student Alliance is seeking new members.
All races and ethnicities are
welcome in the club, which through various school and community activities seeks to promote diversity, unity, and social justice.
The club's next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 11 in the Riley Auditorium.
If you have any questions or are interested in joining, email Ms. Pantuso.
| |
The BSA has also posted a banner featuring hands with different colors and names of students to promote unity throughout the school.
In addition, there is now a "suggestion box" outside Ms. Pantuso's office for students to anonymously share prayers, wants, wishes, hopes, and needs.
