March 3, 2020
From the Desk of Ellen Knippel, Principal

Dear Parents,
Our faith community of St. Anthony on the Lake grieves the tragic loss of life in the recent shooting on the Molson Coors campus this week. This tragedy has hit home in a particular way for us as we mourn the loss of Dana Walk, husband to Dori, father to Andy, Michelle and Melanie, and son of June and Leo. The Walk family are longtime members of our parish who have been deeply involved here since 1972. The staff and leadership here have rallied around the Walk family and will continue to offer prayerful, pastoral care and support over the difficult days ahead. We ask for your prayers for the Walk family at this time.

As a people of faith, we trust unwaveringly in God's mercy and care but our hearts are still troubled at this time. We stand with the victims of all violence and yearn for a day when God's kingdom of justice, peace, and mercy will reign.

Funeral arrangements for Dana Walk are as follows: Visitation from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5th, Visitation on Friday, March 6th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. with Funeral Mass to follow.

Thank you for your care and concern for the Walk family and all those whose lives have been shattered by this tragic event. Our faith community stands ready to be a source of hope, light, and care as we mourn this loss.

Mrs. Ellen Knippel
