Regional Plan Update

Future Land Use Outreach

April has been a busy month for the Future Land Use tabling discussions around the region. These informal tabling discussions have been a great way to communicate with towns and hear about important issues from community members. The survey covers topic areas around land use, housing and conservation for the Central Vermont region. CVRPC will conclude the tabling discussions after visiting Warren Public library on April 30th 11:30-1:30pm and Jaquith Public Library (Marshfield) on May 7th 11:00-1:00pm. The direct link to the survey is here and will be available until May 15, 2025. It is also accessible from our website https://centralvtplanning.org/. There is an option at the end of the survey to be entered into a random draw for one of three local gift card prizes.

Regional Plan and Future Land Use Map

The Regional Plan Committee has been discussing topics around short-term rentals, the future land use map and community outreach. The next committee meeting will focus on housing costs for housing development. Staff will be meeting with the Land Use Review Board on April 28th to discuss the regional plan and future land use mapping updates as well as what we are hearing from our member municipalities. CVRPC plans to begin municipal meetings on the future land use map in May 2025.
