Resilience Walking Tours in Barre & Montpelier
Barre City - May 28th
Join River Walk Part 1 along Stevens Branch and Gunners Brook. This River Walk will brings together community members and flood mitigation experts for a discussion about opportunities to lessen the extent of damage from major flood events and create community spaces at potential river access points. The River Walk will cover 2 miles and visit: 572 N. Main Street, Scampini Square, and Harrington Ave. This is a family-friendly event with food provided.

Montpelier - May 29th | 6 - 8 pm
Join a 1-mile loop walk along the Winooski River, where local experts will guide us through a conversation about dams. From flood control to dam removal, dams have a critical role to play in riverine resilience and will be one critical component of helping Montpelier build a more resilient future.
Stops include: Langdon Street Bridge, Trestle (Rat) Dam, Bailey/Shaw’s Dam, Bailey Bridge, Court Street
