Public Hearing for the 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan

Thursday, March 27, 2025 | 4:30 - 5:00 PM

The State of Vermont's Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) will be holding a virtual/in-person public hearing to get input from Vermont residents before finalizing its U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) 5-Year Consolidated Plan for 2025-2029. The draft Plan outlines priorities for the use of approximately $14 million in federal funds provided to the State for creating affordable housing, addressing homelessness, creating jobs, and improving the quality of life for all Vermonters. The Plan also serves as Vermont's application to HUD for these funds.

The in-person location will be at DHCD, 1 National Life Drive, Davis Building, 6th floor, Montpelier.

Public Meeting for MyRide by GMT Microtransit Pilot: Proposed Service Adjustments

Green Mountain Transit (GMT) is evaluating service adjustments to the MyRide by GMT microtransit pilot in response to the conclusion of Mobility & Transportation Innovation grant funding from the Vermont Agency of Transportation. Additional details regarding all public meetings related to this change and how to submit public comment are available here.

Fourth Annual Vermont Capital Planning Forum

Thursday, April 10th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm - Alumni Hall - Barre Auditorium

This is an in-person event for governmental units of all sizes and associated professionals to explore Vermont-specific best practices in capital planning.

$15 or free for municipal / school officials with submission of capital plan

Job Announcement: CVRPC Planner

CVRPC is looking for a full-time planner with broad life experience, and a commitment to helping Central Vermont municipalities. The strongest candidates will have experience working with municipalities & volunteer committees, managing projects, developing capital & asset management plans, working with FEMA public assistance, and supporting public water & wastewater system planning. This selected candidate will provide technical assistance to Central VT municipalities as they recover from several years of severe flooding, address the housing shortage, and adapt to climate change. Candidates with all levels of experience are encouraged to apply. Title and compensation will depend on qualifications. A review of applications will begin March 31, 2025.
