Please familiarize yourself with the following procedure updates to our Personnel Policies and Procedures:

Policy 2.21, Overtime, Hours of Work, and Breaks Procedures

This procedure has been updated to include instruction on the new UKG timekeeping system:

C.   Break and Meal Periods for Overtime Eligible Employees

All employees will attest to the accuracy of their timecard on a biweekly basis. Any missed lunch breaks will be tracked via attestation for overtime eligible employees. Supervisors are expected to identify and address any ongoing trends. Employees are expected to take a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. However, due to workloads, overtime eligible employees may need to work through a meal period on occasion, whereby they will be compensated for such time.

On occasion, employees may also work through their meal period with prior approval from their supervisor to “flex” and use that time later (i.e., leave early for a medical appointment), within the same pay week.

Policy 2.74, Information Technology Procedures

This procedure has been updated to include guidance on the use of AI:

Use of AI (Artificial Intelligence)

Employees may use AI platforms on their work devices for work purposes. However, employees are strictly prohibited from using translation services and/or entering Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or Protected Health Information (PHI) into such platforms on work and/or personal devices.

Policy 2.93, Remote Work Model Procedures

This procedure has been revised to allow remote employees to live within a 50-mile radius from the JCC office.

Remember, you can view all personnel policies and procedures by visiting My Company>Company Info>Policies and Procedures in UKG.

Although there are total solar eclipses that occur about every two years somewhere around the planet, the chances of it occurring over your hometown are ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME! On April 8, we'll have that occurrence.

Check out this video that explains a solar eclipse.

Help us distribute Solar Glasses in March

We have solar glasses so you can safely view the solar eclipse and we need your help to distribute these to provider agencies and schools. If you'd like to help, sign up below.

Can you help distribute glasses?
Yes!
You know it!

Eclipse Day Protocol - work remotely

On April 8, officials are forecasting a tremendous flux of traffic to this area as Butler County lies in the "path of totality." They are warning of extreme delays and therefore, our staff will be expected to work remotely. There will be no in-office work option for April 8, 2024 and staff should not schedule any in-person meetings due to the increase in traffic. Additionally, officials are expecting an added toll on cell towers and internet quality and therefore, staff are not to schedule any virtual meetings.

In short: on April 8, staff are expected to work remotely and should not schedule any in-person or virtual meetings.

If you have any questions, you can reach out to your supervisor.
