LASC's theater students will perform "The Threat," an original 50 minute show involving their writings and music that confronts the recent cases of police brutality against African Americans. The online performances will be at 7 p.m. Friday, December 18; 7 p.m. Saturday, December 19; and 2 p.m. Sunday, December 20. LACCD's 2021 Winter Session and Spring Semester classes will remain predominately online due to the COVID-19 public health pandemic. Classes returning to in-person modalities during that time will only occur based on the prevailing Health Orders from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH) and in accordance with the Health Department’s Reopening Protocols for Institutes of Higher Education. The California State University system has extended its Fall 2021 undergraduate application filing period to Tuesday, December 15. If you know students who have questions, have them contact LASC's Counseling Department or the Transfer Center.

LASC's Dream Resource Center will be hosting a Undocu-Transfer event at noon Tuesday, December 15, on Zoom to support students who may have last-minute transfer questions or need support to complete their Cal State University system application. Learn more.

Learn how to be a conscious entrepreneur in 2021 at LASC's Career and Technical Education program's next Virtual Entrepreneur Networking Alliance (VENA) meeting at noon Friday, December 18. The annual Bernard Osher Scholarship application will award $600 to 26 LASC students. To qualify, a student must have completed 24 units, enrolled currently in at least six units at LASC, have a 2.0 cumulative GPA, and list LASC as their home school. The application link is here and it is open until Friday, December 18.

The mental health counselors from LASC's Student Health Center are leading a support group on Zoom at 6 p.m. Thursdays to help students navigate finals, the cultural times we are experiencing, and personal challenges they may have. Learn more.
