Celebrate Black History Month in February with LASC! The festivities officially start with a kick-off event at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, with poetry, music, imagery and brief testimonials from community members and LASC alumni. Learn more about all of the upcoming events.

To provide students with reliable, high-speed internet access — and in keeping with social-distancing directives issued by county, state, and national officials — LASC is launching “Drive-Up Wi-Fi” at its campus starting Monday, February 8. Learn more.
In recognition of Presidents Day, LASC's operations will be closed on Friday, Feb. 12, and Monday, Feb. 15, and Saturday and Sunday, February 13-14, will be non-instruction days. Classes resume February 16.

LASC will serve as a polling place for the upcoming state Senate District 30 election. Voters can cast their ballots from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. February 20 to March 1 as well as from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Election Day, March 2. Candidates running to fill this seat can be viewed here.
LASC's science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programs are actively involved in bringing more opportunities to students related to their career. Contact tracing helps to slow the spread of COVID-19. Tracing means finding and talking to people who are infected with COVID-19 and then finding and talking to all the people they may have interacted with. LASC has a form for you to fill out if you know someone who had COVID-19. When completed, send the form to LACCD's Emergency Operations Center. The form can be accessed here.

LASC's Spring Semester Welcome Week hosted by LASC's Associated Students Organization (ASO) on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 10-11, is meant to celebrate the start of Spring Semester and invite students to join, create or re-charter a club; participate in activities; chat with ASO members; win prizes; and so much more.
