SAVE THE DATE: LASC's Spring Flex Day will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. February 5, 2021. The theme will be "Owning Our New Realities." LASC's Professional Growth Committee is looking for presenters to facilitate workshops on topics such as "Improvement of Instructional Design and Delivery," "Personal Enhancement and Wellness," "Technological Proficiency" and more. LASC's Academic Senate is pleased to announce that LASC student Hyejin Yeom is the winner of a contest to create the official icon for the Academic Senate (see attached). Hyejin is majoring in psychology but also wants to pursue design. She plans to transfer to a four-year university next year and is interested in becoming a web user interface designer (UX designer). 
LACCD has announced changes to Canvas support for students and faculty starting in the 2021 Winter Session. Learn more about the changes. Canvas is the learning management system used to access online courses.

LASC's 2021 Winter Session and Spring Semester classes will remain predominately online due to the COVID-19 public health pandemic. Classes returning to in-person modalities during that time will only occur based on the prevailing Health Orders from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH) and in accordance with the Health Department’s Reopening Protocols for Institutes of Higher Education.
