LASC has once again garnered accolades and honors from Kennedy Center American College Region VIII Theatre Festival organizers, this time following the stellar virtual production “The Threat” in which theater students confronted recent cases of police brutality against African Americans from the virtual stage. LASC is saddened to announce the passing of one of its nursing students, Obafemi Omolade, who died December 18 from COVID-19 complications. Omolade, who was known to his classmates as “Femi,” was a member of the nursing program’s Class of December 2021 and leaves behind his wife and 13-year-old daughter. Read more.
