Free flu shots will be offered on Los Angeles Southwest College's (LASC) campus during a drive-through clinic sponsored by Ralphs Pharmacy from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday, September 19, in Parking Lot 3. The third annual Southern California Men of Color Conference is set to take place this October. LASC's Associated Students Organization goal is to recruit young men of color to the workshops who are attending a community college and empower them to vote, use their voice, and make a difference in their communities. Celebrate the signing of the United States Constitution with LASC's Associated Students Organization at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 17 on Zoom. You will receive a copy of the Constitution and be able to register to vote. All invited. Learn more.
In spring 2020, the President's Office established a short-term Presidential Task Force to refresh the college's  logo. The campus kick-off meeting for this task force is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, September 18, through Zoom. All welcome to attend and participate. LASC's Trio Scholars Program's goal is to assist students in obtaining their associate's degree and transfer to a four-year college/university of their choice. LASC's Lakin Center will serve as an in-person voting center from October 24 to November 3 for the upcoming General Election. Voters will be able to cast their ballots in-person or drop-off their mail-in ballots from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. October 24 to November 2 and from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Election Day, November 3.
