This Sunday is Cameron's last Sunday at HUMC. A reception in his honor will be held in the Fellowship Hall after the 10:30 service. We encourage you to bring a card or a gift for Cameron to wish him well on his new journey.
We are hosting the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church Development Team on Monday and Tuesday, January 7 & 8.
A service celebrating the life of Margaret Carter will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 7 at James Funeral Home with a visitation prior beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Disciple Bible Study will resume next Wednesday, January 9.
A workshop is scheduled for Saturday, January 12, 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. for our Church Council Committee and Ministry members. In the New Year HUMC will be looking for individuals to fill the following positions:
Interim Youth Leader - while we evaluate our needs for youth in the long term we will be hiring an Interim Youth Leader to work with the Youth Council and Senior Pastor during the winter and spring. Click here for Job Description.
Interim Worship Leader - while we evaluate and consider our needs for a full-time Worship Leader we will be looking for one or more individuals interested in providing worship leadership during the winter months. Job Description coming soon.
Worship Tech Lead - in the new year we will be looking for an individual to lead our Worship Tech team. This individual will be responsible for leading our tech team during worship on Sundays, review and make recommendations regarding our technology needs as well as train new tech team members.
