Serving the Community
Food Pantry The Food Pantry still continues to serve clients on Wednesdays through the Loaves & Fishes Mobile Food Pantry. We served 99 families (338 people) in September. We appreciate all your donations, as we do prepare bags of “extras” for our clients each week. Watch for more information coming soon regarding the upcoming holidays and how we plan to serve our clients. We still need PAPER grocery bags. If you have any paper bags, please drop them in our donation bin in the church lobby. If the church is not open, you may leave them on the table outside the main entrance. Thank you in advance.

Right Here Ministries is going strong! We are serving meals on Wednesdays for our “drive-up” customers as well as families in the Deer Hill community. We would love your help. Food prep begins at approximately 2:00 on Wednesday afternoons. We begin to prepare the plates around 4:00. Serving begins at 5:30. If you would like to get involved, please email Betsy Burnell at Donations of bottled water are always appreciated.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. HUMC is an official polling station and that day we anticipate a few hundred people in our building to perform their civic duty of voting. We thought it would be a wonderful investment in our community to have volunteers from HUMC to meet, greet and serve the various voters as they stand in line to vote. We are looking for greeters for the parking lot, the lobby and the hallway. Registration and more information can be found HERE.
