Club 3:16 would like to thank everyone who donated school supplies for their "Mid-Year Supply Refresher" service project. The next Club 3:16 meeting is Sunday, February 10 at 10:30 a.m. in the Simon Peter room.

Music Ministry Notes
  • This Sunday at 8:30: Special music by trio: Kay Roebuck, Myra Tarlton, Karen Terpenning
  • This Sunday at 10:30: Music will be led by Tommy Stainkamp. Tommy and his family are members of HUMC. Tommy has his own band outside of HUMC, but has played the piano with our band many times. You will enjoy Tommy's musical gifts!

Sunday, February 3 is Super Bowl Sunday
The United Methodist Women will host their annual chili lunch following the 10:30 service. Join us for this time of fun and fellowship and remember to wear your team (any team) colors! A love offering will be accepted.
HUMC Missions
Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry
Our Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry is one busy place! We are especially busy on Tuesdays when we get a truck delivery. We have a wonderful group of dedicated volunteers who work hard, but have fun.

We are looking for a few more volunteers on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to help serve our clients. If you are interested in volunteering, please email Wanda Kerns.
Scouting for Food - Saturday, February 2
One of our biggest food drives of the year is quickly approaching and we need you! The Food Pantry is asking for volunteers between 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. You do not have to commit to the entire time, we are happy with whatever time you can give. No experience necessary!
Families are welcome. Children must be supervised by parents, but we have jobs they can do (it is easier for upper elementary and older since sorting cans requires some word recognition). Volunteers are asked to wear closed-toed shoes for safety reasons.

Snacks, drinks and a light lunch will be provided. If you need more information, or would like to sign up please call Wanda Kerns at 704-608-3821. Advance notice helps with planning but is not necessary. Thank you in advance!
