Adopt an Island
You can help keep HUMC’s grounds looking beautiful! We have developed this program for that purpose. You can adopt one of our parking lot islands. For one year, you will be responsible for keeping your island beautiful by checking on it monthly, keeping it pruned and weeded. Once each year, we ask that you join us on “mulch day” to spread mulch that we provide on your island. The next mulch day is Saturday, June 22 beginning at 8:00 a.m. For more information, see the bulletin board in the main lobby.
College Bible Study
Calling all college students. Julia Peters will lead a study on the book of Galatians to remind us what it really means to be covered by grace. This will be a great time for us to reconnect over summer break. We will meet Sundays at 9:30 a.m., June 2- August 4 in the John Room. Come when you can! For more information, contact Julia at 704-502-1080.
DivorceCare is a 13-week seminar led by a group of friendly, caring people who understand what you are going through and want to walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences.
HUMC is looking to offer this resource this fall to anyone in the church or community who is in need of support. If you are interested in attending or assisting in leading, please contact Rod Arters at
