Disciple Bible Study Classes Forming
Pastor Paul is excited to announce the formation of two Disciple classes forming soon! Disciple 1 will be forming on August 16 at 6:00 p.m. with an information/introductory session held under the portico, or available via Zoom. Classes are slated to begin on August 23 at a yet to be determined time. We hope to be able to offer classes in person, but all classes will be available via Zoom regardless. Please check our enews and Facebook page for testimonials about how this work changes lives. The classes are 2 hours per week, for 34 weeks, and reading is assigned each night. Books are to be purchased on your own (see the links below).

Disciple 2 classes (which focus on Genesis and Exodus in the OT, and Luke/Acts in the NT, are also forming with an anticipated start of the week of August 23. A survey is being conducted among those who have completed Disciple 1 as to the best time to offer Disciple 2. You are eligible to take Disciple 2 if you have completed Disciple 1, no matter how long ago you took or where you took it. It is also open to anyone whether they are connected to HUMC or not. Disciple 2 will be offered in person if possible, but will be available via Zoom regardless.

The benefits to this type of in-depth study are numerous, but among them are the close relationships that are built over the course of the study. We hope that you will consider participating in this wonderful study! Please don’t hesitate to call the church office if you have questions.

Serving the Community
Last night, we held our second Community Drive-thru Dinner. We served over 150 meals! We want to thank all of you who helped make that possible, from the bottom of our hearts. We can't do it without all of our wonderful volunteers. We are gearing up to serve again next Wednesday and we need you! If you would like to get involved with this wonderful ministry, please contact Krista Sipe at kristasipe4@hotmail.com. Next week, we will begin serving at 5:30.
If you would like to contribute to these meals, donations of bottled water would be greatly appreciated!
A Few Announcements
Please check in! Have you downloaded our app? (click HERE for instructions). If not, please do. We need to register your attendance at our Worship services and other events. During this difficult time, this is just one more thing we need to do to help keep everyone healthy and safe. In the event that someone thay may have attended an event is diagnosed with COVID, we would need to have a contact list for tracing. When we do eventually come back in the building, we will continue to use this to take attendance. We will no longer pass the attendance pad. If you do not have access to the technology to download the APP, please see Dana in the parking lot to check in.

Restrooms will be open on Sunday mornings in the case of an emergency. If you must enter the building to use the restroom, PLEASE wear a mask. We also need to limit the number of people coming into the building at one time.

Masks If you will be visiting the church office/building during the week for any reason, we ask that you please wear a mask upon entering. Thank you.
