God calls us to open the door, make room at the table, and create spaces
to foster lasting relationships with Jesus Christ.
This Sunday, March 22
John 9:1-41
"Who Sinned?" by Paul B. Thompson

Our service will be streamed live on Facebook this Sunday at 10:30. Make sure you "like" our Facebook page to get the notifications. Last Sunday's livestream service included music from our Praise Band that normally plays at our 10:30 service. This Sunday's livestream will include hymns, brought to you by our regular 8:30 service musicians.

This Sunday's bulletin is available on our website HERE .

If you would like Pastor Paul to lift up a special prayer request during "Prayers of the People," please email them to Tabitha . If you would rather your request remain private, please indicate that. We all need to be praying for each other.

Past sermons can be viewed on our website HERE .

The latest update from Bishop Leeland calls for the cancellation of all "in-person" services through March 29. We will continue to keep you informed about future services as we get notification. You can read the last update HERE .
The Church Office remains open during regular business hours: Monday—Thursday, 8:30 –3:00 and Friday, 8:30—12:30. You may call if you have any questions, or stop by if you feel safe in doing so. All other scheduled activities are cancelled until further notice.
Serving the Community
We are working hard to continue our work in the community. Even though all regularly scheduled activities have been cancelled, some things still continue. We are saddened that we have had to cancel Room in the Inn for the rest of the season. We have also had to suspend "Not Here Ministry" activities until further notice.

Our Food Pantry is still open and serving clients. We do have special request for the Food Pantry. See below. Also, below are other ways we are still serving our community.
Food Pantry
Wanda Kerns is working very hard to serve our neighbors in need through the Food Pantry. We are still asking for any food donations you can give. We also need your plastic grocery bags. And, we are still collecting coupons for our troops!

Volunteers are needed! A lot of our regular volunteers are in the "at-risk" category for this virus. The Food Pantry is following guidelines from Loaves & Fishes and we are serving customers in a way that allows for very limited contact. If you are looking for a way to help, and feel safe in doing so, please contact Wanda. You can call/text her at 704-608-3821 or email She prefers texts.
Olde Knox Commons
Natalya Stracener is still collecting items to make Care packages for Olde Knox Commons for her 8th grade IB project for JMA Middle School. She is in need of donations:
  • Chapstick (non petroleum jelly)
  • small tissue packets
  • small lotions
  • large print word search books
  • pens or pencils
  • small notepads
  • change/coin purses
  • small stuffed animals
  • costume jewelry (plastic bead necklaces).
You may drop items in the Missions Corner donation center in the front lobby.
Don't forget to bring us your old, broken crayons for The Crayon Initiative. Bins are located at both entrances. For more information visit:
