The Food Pantry in collaboration with the Kiwanis, the Ada Jenkins Center and the Girl Scouts of North Mecklenburg provided over 300 Thanksgiving meals to our clients. A huge thank you to these organizations for helping us provide the items for a traditional Thanksgiving meal above and beyond their normal shopping experience. Pantry volunteers are commended for their commitment of time and extension of hospitality during this busy season of the year.
The Food Pantry’s greatest needs at the present time are the following canned foods: spinach, mixed greens, cabbage, sauerkraut, sliced beets, carrots, pinto beans and black eyed peas. Donations bins are located in both lobbies for your convenience.
