The Temple will be closed to the public until further notice. Our goal is to keep everyone safe and healthy. I will be working from home so please don't hesitate to call or reach out with any questions, concerns, or just to say hello as all calls are forwarded to my cellphone. We will keep the website up to date with information as things are always changing.

Please refer to the website of ALL links to Zoom services or meetings.

This is an adjustment for everyone and we may have a few bumps in the road (virtually),  but this can only make our community stronger.

A t Temple Sinai, we have not done a first night seder since this is a night for family Seders, but this year, if you don't have family coming and can't be with them online, please join us! Or start your family Seder by everyone joining us this year! This will be a short (40 minutes) basic Seder on ZOOM where we can all get together and then go to our meals. (NOTE: The seder really starts around 5:40, and the first ten minutes are to give people a chance to arrive, sing or watch a song or two, and get settled.

2nd NIGHT COMMUNITY SEDER WITH OHAVI ZEDEK
5:30 PM Thursday April 9, 2020

We want to bring our communities together at this time of separation, so please join us for a festive Community Seder. In the first part, we'll do all the 'hits' of the Seder, plus some great songs and small group check-ins about the meaning of Passover, this year in the midst of this modern plague. We will then break for dinner, and invite people back for a shorter second part and sing-a-long.

Take a Tip From Morah Judy

Here's my new feature, Take a Tip From Morah Judy. Every so often I will post small things you can do with your family during this time of isolation.

Tip #1 Turn Dish-washing Time into "Concert Time!"

Here's how it works, especially if you have a dishwasher. You tell the family that there's no more electric dishwasher. From now on, dishes are done by hand, and by EVERYBODY. Then use this time to learn about each other's music. Each person gets a day to play only their music during this time. Each person can make a playlist. You should choose songs you love, has meaning for you; and you need to tell each other why you chose that song. Do this without judgement (and parents, if you absolutely hate the music your child chose, don't say anything, just let them tell you what THEY like about it).

Give it a week or two, and let me know how it went for your family!
