Dear St. Francis of Assisi School Parents and Guardians,

One of my favorite weeks of the year is Teacher Appreciation Week.   Brad Henry said, "A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning."  Our teachers at St. Francis of Assisi School dedicate their time, talents, and treasure to invest in the future of our children. Catholic school teachers are paid much less than their public school colleagues yet give endlessly in their classrooms. On any given day, you will see teachers' cars in the parking lot early in the morning or late into the early evening.  They often spend their own money for teaching supplies or resources for students who need support and happily purchase technology that they believe will inspire and motivate students in their pursuit of learning.

The heart of a Catholic school teacher is like no other.  If you asked our teachers why they chose Catholic education, they would share a beautiful testimony of faith that they live out in their own personal lives.  Our teachers believe in the value of a faith-based education. They witness the Gospel message daily, hoping to build a strong foundation of values and morals for future generations.

Thank you to Mrs. Foye for lighting the way in celebrating our amazing faculty and staff.  We are so appreciative to all the parents for your outpouring of love every day this week. We feel blessed to work in this strong and growing community. On a personal note, I have great pride and tremendous gratitude in being your Principal. I am honored to serve with these professional men and women whose vocation is teaching.  Your children truly are the greatest gift you can share with each one of us!

May your light continue to shine bright~
