Dear Parents and Guardians of St. Francis of Assisi School,

Saturday evening was our final and best performance of Beauty and the Beast Junior. Immediately after, a team of amazing Dads broke down the set, and we finished around midnight. Less that twenty four hours later, I was driving down to San Diego for my next adventure.

As the saying goes...."Absence makes the heart grow fonder!" This week I had the opportunity to chair an accreditation visit at an elementary school in San Diego county. For the past three days, I've observed classrooms, talked with parents, met with faculty, attended an all school Mass & spoke with students who love their school. The self study process for accreditation allows schools time needed to self reflect and refocus on improving student learning. While on this visit, I couldn't help but think of our beloved St. Francis of Assisi community. Who we are and what we do is amazing for our children.

I know I am a little biased, but I believe the formation and education of our students is very strong. The opportunities, resources and enrichment offered, provides a springboard for our students to soar. I am returning with fresh ideas, renewed passion, and a sharpened focus, on ways to further propel our academic excellence. I am looking forward to celebrating Mass tomorrow with our school community and hope that you will be able to attend. The theme for our Mass is love. Let us pray that for our students, everything we do, begins and ends with love.

Loving the Wolf Pack,
