Dear St. Francis of Assisi Parents and Guardians,

While Teacher Appreciation Week feels very different while we are apart, it has touched my heart to see cars pulling up and dropping off notes, flowers, and gifts for our teachers, aides, staff, and administration.  They say that teaching is a work of the heart and it is clear that our teachers have touched the hearts of our families.  Over these past weeks, nothing has become more evident than the recognition and acknowledgement of the vocation and calling it takes to pursue a life of teaching.  Our parents at home have expressed their profound appreciation for just how challenging this work can be.  It takes patience, love, compassion, kindness, dedication, commitment, and a strong sense of humor to mold and shape our children on a daily basis.

Teachers, I thank you for your ability to pivot and reimagine learning in just 72 hours as we all worked together to create a fresh model of delivering education from a distance.  I know that you all have put in hours well beyond normal work days and even spent weekends and Easter vacation preparing creative lessons for your students.  Watching your work, seeing your passion, and understanding what it takes to provide a strong education with learning at a distance, you need to know at this time that you are so very much appreciated, respected, and loved!  Your significant work IS making a difference for our students and I am praying for you every day.

Finally, much gratitude goes out to Mrs. Foye and her amazing Teacher Appreciation Week crew.  This group of parents organized and executed a plan for appreciating our teachers in the midst of COVID-19.  You make us feel so special this week with the thoughts, prayers, and videos from our students.  Never have we needed this more, than during this moment in time, to be uplifted and affirmed emotionally and spiritually.  On behalf of all of our Faculty, Staff, and Administration, please accept our sincere thanks and gratitude.

Feeling loved and appreciated,

Jeannette Lambert

Teacher Appreciation Week of Gratitude

THANK YOU to all of the wonderful SFA teachers and staff for your tireless work and energizing spirit throughout this school year. We are especially grateful for your dedication in more recent times to ensuring our education continues and our beautiful school continues to thrive. We are so fortunate to have such devoted teachers and staff that are committed to always doing their best for us. This year, more than ever, we see how the Spirit of St. Francis lives in each of you. We hope you have enjoyed this week and know you are loved and appreciated. We are grateful for each and every one of you!

Thank You Video for Mrs. Driscol
We need your help! Mrs. Driscol was not assigned to any class for Teacher Appreciation Week. Although she isn't working at the school right now, she has been there since the beginning of the year caring for our kids. Let's show her how much she means to us as a community by sending her a video filled with love and gratitude. It's super quick and easy.

1.  Click on this link.
2.  Make your quick video from your phone.
3.  Upload

We would like to deliver this to her by 3:00 pm on Friday.  Don't delay and record your message today!
