Сутра, у суботу, 7. новембра су Задушнице.
Литургија почиње у 9 ујутру, парастос у 10.
Црква ће бити отворена у току целог дана сутра.

This is a reminder that on Saturday, November 7, we have a Liturgy and
parastos for Memorial Saturday. Liturgy will start at 9 a.m. and
Memorial Service-parastos at 10 a.m.
Church will be open all day on Saturday.

Our dear parishioner, Lana Balach, has started an initiative dear to our hearts, reading to our youngest parishioners. We are looking for volunteers who would join her efforts. Please record yourself, or your young readers, reading your favorite books in both Serbian and English, and submit your recording to [email protected] by Thursday, to be published in Friday's newsletter.

А он им рече: Ви сте од доле, ја сам од горе. Ви сте од овога света, ја нисам од овога
света. Зато вам казах да ћете умрети у гресима својим. Јер ако не верујте што сам ја, умрећете у гресима својим. А ко си ти? -, рекоше му. -Исус им одговори: Оно што вам од почетка рекох. Много имам за вас говорити и судити у вама; али онај који ме посла истинит је, и ја говорим свету оно што чух од њега. И они не разумеше да им говораше о Оцу.
Оно што вам заповедам то је да љубите један другога. Ако свет на вас мрзи, знајте да на мене омрзну пре вас. Кад бисте били од света, онда би свет своје љубио, а како нисте од света, него вас ја од света изабрах, зато свет мрзи на вас. Опомињите се речи коју вам рекох: „Није слуга већи од господара свога“. Ако мене гонише, и вас ће гонити; ако моју реч одржаше, и вашу ће одржати. Али све ће вам то чинити за име моје, јер не познају онога који ме посла. Да нисам дошао и говорио им, не би греха имали, а сад изговора немају за грех свој. Ко мрзи на мене, и на Оца мога мрзи. Да нисам дела чинио међу њима, којих нико други не чини, не би греха имали; а сад и видеше и омрзнуше на мене и на Оца мога. Али то би да се испуни реч написана у закону њиховом: „Омрзнуше на ме ни за што“. Кад дође утешитељ, кога ћу вам послати од Оца, Дух истине, који од Оца излази, он ће сведочити за мене, а и ви ћете сведочити, јер сте од почетка са мном.
Казао сам вам то да се не спотакнете. Излучиће вас из синагоге, и доћи ће време кад ће сваки који вас убије мислити да Богу службу чини.

22nd Sunday after Pentecost
And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” Then they said to Him, “Who are You?” And Jesus said to them, “Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning. I have many things to say and to judge concerning you, but He who sent Me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I heard from Him.” They did not understand that He spoke to them of the Father.
These things I command you, that you love one another. If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. He who hates Me hates My Father also. If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father. But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’ But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.
