Youth Advisory Council Approves Three New Grant Requests

The council's meeting this past Tuesday was fully booked. YAC heard three different grant presentations and decided whether or not to fund the proposals.

The Columbus Medical Association Foundation formed YAC in 2001 with the goal of developing the next generation of healthcare philanthropists.
The organizations that YAC approved grants for are:

  • Halt Violence - Led by Thell Robinson with the intention of providing conflict resolution, early intervention, and education for youth and young adults.

  • J. Jireh Development Corp. - improving the quality of life in the East Main Street community through housing and economic development, planning, coordinating of services, and other community-building activities

  • Emerging Autism Solutions - promotes awareness, early intervention, skill acquisition and employment placement for unrepresented and under-served populations impacted by autism.
