This month's virtue is Honesty. Honesty is doing the right thing, even when no one is looking.

Fifth Grade Speech Winners

Please give a big round of applause for our fifth grade persuasive speech winners! We are so proud of Zac for winning third place for his speech supporting NH Hunger Solutions, Max for winning second place for supporting Hanover Improvement Society, and Julia for winning first place for supporting Grassroot Soccer! Because Julia was the winner of the contest, the class will make further efforts to support Grassroots Soccer, and will encourage the Crossroads community to participate as well. Congratulations to all of our fifth grade students for their hard work and dedication on this special effort.

First Grade Egypt Museum

Our first graders spent last Friday hosting a spectacular Egyptian Museum for their families, faculty and staff, and all Lower School students. Their classroom was completely transformed to showcase the Nile River, a "Tomb Room", and countless displays of artwork. Each first grader impressed us with their knowledge, and had memorized a small speech detailing their display. If you were unable to attend, please check out the photos, and ask a Lower School student to describe it for you!

Great (and Reduced) Expectations

Before the break, seventh graders celebrated their conclusion of reading and discussing the novel, Great Expectations by Charles Dickens with a recreation of Miss Havisham’s old, rotten wedding cake and a camp fire! Prior to the celebration, the students presented their “Reduced Expectations” presentations that showcased different parts of the novel. What a fun way to bring this story to life!
