This month's virtues are Respect and Responsibility. Respect is treating others politely and kindly, with high regard. Responsibility is doing your part for the groups that make us whole.
Summer Student Scientists!
This summer, three Middle School students completed the Applied Scientific Research Program at the New Hampshire Academy of Science. During the program, each student completed the scientific process from experimental design to a professional poster presentation at the Dartmouth College Life Sciences Center. Eighth grader Cailin Stauth investigated the effects of microplastics on the fertility and gut of Caenorhabditis elegans and seventh graders Grace Lan and Lucy Tillinghast completed PCR analysis of the biodiversity of locally endangered yellow lady’s slipper orchids. Congratulations to these young scientists!
