Join us tonight as we begin
The ENTIRE Five Sessions

How the Bible Was Started
This Sunday at Christ Church
Faith & Practice

We Will With God's Help...
For the next five Sundays of Lent at Faith & Practice, Nadia will facilitate a discussion
of the five questions we are asked in our baptismal covenant, which we will renew at Easter. A member of the clergy will share some brief reflections, and then we will ask: what might it look like to live out this promise in your life, and in our world, today?

This Sunday, March 5:
Will you continue in the apostles' teaching and fellowship,
in the breaking of the bread, and in the prayers?

Food Pantry First - This Sunday
Thanks to all who contributed last month! While our collection was on the "light" side, every little bit helps.  This coming Sunday, March 5, we will collect canned fruits and sauces as there is currently a great need for these items. As always, cash donations are gratefully accepted.

Deacon Heath to Retire
Our beloved Deacon, Heath Missner, is retiring from active ministry at Christ Church on  Easter Sunday of this year.  Heath has been a parishioner for over twenty years and has been a deacon here for over seven.  She is going to Boston to spend more time with children and grandchildren.  Heath has brought deep wisdom and faithfulness to us through her work as a deacon.  Her contributions have been remarkable and her witness to the Gospel has been far reaching.  She has truly been a 'model" of Christian discipleship.  A reception in her honor will be held on Sunday, April 2 at 11AM.

For a copy of her letter to the parish, click here.

If you would like to contribute to a purse for Heath as she departs, you may do so online here. You may also send a check to the office on her behalf made out to Christ Church.  If you do not wish to include your gift as a charitable contribution on your taxes, you may give her a gift directly.
Opportunities to Serve
Kids (and Adults) Against Hunger
Saturday, March 11, 11:00AM-1:00PM
The entire parish is invited to help fill a Christ Church table at Kids Against Hunger at the Winnetka Community House from 11-1. Adults too! We will pack meals for starving people around the world. Friends always welcome! $20/person, RSVP to Melissa Durbin or Leah RomanelliOther time slots are available too.

Christ Church is hosting another group of families March 12-19 in Church House, and we need lots of help!  This ministry is a wonderful opportunity for parishioners of all ages to put faith into action by  helping transitionally homeless families  stay together and get back on their feet.

We still need volunteers to:
  • Set up and Clean up
  • Serve as Evening Hosts, providing hospitality and fellowship
  • Serve as Youth Hosts, helping with the children during the evening
  • Serve as Dinner Hosts, providing and serving an evening meal
  • Host evening activities for the families
  • Spend the night (in teams of 2, in private rooms) at Church House with our guests
We also are gratefully accepting donations to help cover our costs for the week, including breakfast, lunch and other household necessities.
