This Sunday at Christ Church
Epiphany Sunday

The Feast of Epiphany is one of our most cherished Christ Church traditions, with the Three Kings processing down the center aisle singing solos to "We Three Kings of Orient Are." We invite all children to don costumes and process down the aisle behind the Three Kings as their entourage, following the Star, and bringing gifts for the Christ Child. Gifts will be items for the Food Pantry. Will your child be joining us? We hope so! Please let Melissa Durbin know. Any teens wishing to help with costuming and wrapping gifts please contact Melissa too.

Taizé Service-Sunday, January 15
If you are in need of an hour of quiet prayer and meditation, please join us for a time of grace and peace. This candlelit, contemplative service will include readings, prayers, and silence interspersed with tuneful chants accompanied by oboe and keyboard.
In Memoriam
We ask your prayers for the family of Joan Morrow McClure, who passed away December 23.   The memorial service is Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 2:00PM. Reception follows in The McClain Room.
Our Women's Retreat will be held February 10-11 at Techny Towers. Our theme will be discernment, how best to navigate our lives in changing times, using the film, "Brooklyn", as a springboard for our time together. In "Brooklyn" a young Irish immigrant (brilliantly played by Saoirse Ronan) navigates her life in 1950's Brooklyn. We will gather at 5PM on Friday, with our closing liturgy ending by 3PM Saturday. All private rooms and baths, $125 includes room and all meals, and scholarships are available. Our Retreat Leader is Deacon Heath Missner. 15 spaces are available, so register soon!      RSVP

Car Question: The three kings traditionally bring gold, frankincense, and myrrh to Jesus. What would you bring if you went with them? What does it look like to give a gift to Jesus today, when we can't literally meet him?
