This Sunday at Christ Church
Faith & Practice - Our Faith Legacy in Practice
Please join the 2040 Committee at a unique Faith & Practice on Sunday, June 3, for a presentation from Parishioner, Tom Kuhns reviewing the history of Christ Church.

While many of us are aware of the early beginnings of Christ Church, Tom will connect the milestones that have shaped our parish, and share the stories of parishioners taking extraordinary efforts to lead the broader parish to new forms of faith through service. The discussion will include the original founding principles from 1876 and their evolution today.
The Primary Choir Sings at 9:30 this Sunday!  Arrive on time so you do not miss our first and second grade singers.

Choir Section Leader to Retire on June 10
Bob Fox, the longtime professional bass section leader of our choir, will be retiring at the end of this season after sixteen years of service to Christ Church.
As a well-deserved thank-you for his service, Christ Church has begun collecting donations towards a purse to be given to Bob on Sunday, June 10. If you wish to join our choir in contributing, you may do so online here.   Donations by check can be delivered either to Cindy Lyman at the Parish Office or to Richard Clemmitt in the Music Office. Checks should be made out to "Christ Church" with "Bob Fox" written on the memo line. All donations will be tax-deductible.
Shay Craig to be ordained priest June 16 at St. James Cathedral
We're thrilled to announce that Christ Church parishioner Shay Craig will be ordained  to the priesthood on Saturday, June 16 at 11:00AM at St. James Cathedral in Chicago! All are welcome to attend the service. (We'll share more details when we have them.) The following morning, Sunday June 17, Shay will preach and preside at the 8:00 and 9:30 Eucharists here at Christ Church.

If you would like to contribute to a purse for Shay, you may do so online here. Or by sending a check to the office, made out to Christ Church, with "Shay Craig purse" in the memo line.
The latest "2040 Question" builds on Rev. Rod Quainton's sermon on Sunday, May 6 and available here. Later, Faith & Practice featured a conversation on the subject of Evangelism and how is God active in your life? How do you tell others this good news? With that conversation as inspiration, the latest 2040 question is...When you meet a neighbor, how do you share your experience of Christ Church?
Tell us your thoughts via this link or via the Prevost Cloister box.
