This Sunday, we will welcome Otto Reinisch to Faith & Practice.  Otto is Interim Executive Director of Episcopal Charities and Community Services, where he has worked since 2001. ECCS is comprised of 16 different ministry partners who serve the needs of our neighbors in Chicago in various ways. Otto will share with us the work Episcopal Charities is doing, the involvement of Christ Church over the years, and opportunities for you to plug into their great work.

Wait! ... Donate to Rummage First
Winnetka's Spring Clean Up Week is quickly approaching. Before you bring things to your curb (and the landfill) consider bringing your better items to our Rummage Drop-off to give them a second life. The drop-off room is open M-F 8-4 and on the weekends from 8-12. Hot items at our Summer Sale on June 2 are wicker, patio, and porch furniture AND bikes. Please contact Rummage Director, Annie Adams, at rummage@christchurchwinnetka.org to get on the May 17 pick-up schedule.
Calling All Children & Youth!
It is not too early to be thinking about our annual Children & Youth service on Sunday, May 13 Please let Melissa Durbin know what role your child would like.

Here are the roles available:
Prayer leaders
Artists to create art for that morning's bulletin
Bakers (communion bread)
Flower arrangers
Friendly Officers at Christ Church
From time to time, you may see a Winnetka Police officer sitting quietly at the back of our church, or walking around the building. That's because the police in our area are partnering with local schools and houses of worship so that they can become familiar with the buildings and meet some of the people, in order to be a visible, approachable and supportive presence in the community. We are grateful to them! Feel free to stop and say hello.
