FROM BECKY HICKS
The Senior English classes have started working on resumes/cover letters and college essays. Students should be able to present resumes to teachers when asking for letters of recommendation for their college applications.

NHS officers have met and started brainstorming new service opportunities for this year's members. We're hoping to make an impact not only with the students but also in Fairview. If anyone knows of a need, please let us know so we can reach out to that group or organization.

FROM GAYLE DILL
FHS Student Council held a successful Welcome Back Lawn Party before the Rocky River/Fairview football game on Friday, Aug. 24. Over 200 students enjoyed volleyball, corn hole, music and free food on the front lawn of the high school.

FROM HILLERY NEEDHAM
Senior Alexis F. has been selected to be a violinist of the Northeast Regional Orchestra for the second year in a row! Students from all across NE Ohio audition for a spot and she is 1 out of 20 violinists selected.

JoHanna A. (pictured below) has been selected to play string bass in one of the country's elite youth orchestras, the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra (COYO)!

FROM JEN PARENTE
