Support Fair Chance Housing with LMM 🏡

As we celebrate Fair Housing Month this April, we are reminded of the critical importance of ensuring equal opportunity and access to housing for all. Yet, even today, many individuals and families face discrimination and barriers to securing safe and affordable homes. Especially individuals returning to the community after incarceration.

For far too many individuals, a past mistake or conviction can become a lifelong barrier to securing stable housing and reintegrating into society. This month, let us amplify our efforts to break down these barriers and create pathways to housing stability for all, including those who have served their time and are seeking a fresh start. Your support can make a tangible difference by funding advocacy efforts, educational programs, and initiatives aimed at advancing fair housing practices and upholding the rights of every individual. Join LMM in fostering inclusive communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Donate today and be a part of the solution.

Living the LMM Mission: Curtis' Story

Last fall, Curtis, a former resident at the Men's Shelter, sat down with LMM Digital Storyteller Michele Lenni to reflect on his time with LMM and the progress he's made since exiting the shelter.

We are proud of Curtis and his testimony is a prime example of the impact LMM's programs and services can have on individuals' lives.

Additionally, we'd like to give a special thank you to Michele Lenni, who has volunteered her time as a Digital Storyteller with LMM to create, produce, and edit videos and photos highlighting LMM's work, resulting in special moments like this one with Curtis.

Celebrating Men's Shelter Volunteers 🎉

The Men's Shelter on Lakeside Ave. recently hosted its annual Volunteer Appreciation Event, which offered shelter volunteers to hear organizational updates from LMM leadership and staff, see the recent shelter expansion firsthand and be thanked for the wonderful service they provide each year to shelter residents.

Volunteers were gifted plants and flowers to thank them for their service, as well as given the opportunity to partake in an LMM staff-guided walk-through of the 2020 Lakeside Shelter expansion.

We are grateful to have hosted this annual event and to the volunteers who support LMM's mission!
