Thank you to the amazing volunteers who helped beautify and build community at the Men’s Shelter this past weekend! And a special thank you to Ryan and Mark Puente of Puente’s Tijuana Tacos for cooking up delicious BBQ and serving 222 meals for volunteers and residents. Team Up to Clean Up has been an important annual tradition at the shelter for many years now and we’re grateful for those who came out to support.

LMM’s Youth Resiliency Services (YRS) meets critical needs of youth facing housing instability and social adversity.

Beyond meeting their basic needs of food, clothing and shelter, LMM strives to offer radical hospitality to all those we serve.

Radical hospitality means we immediately support their physical and mental well-being, we then listen to what the youth have to say, and we respond with personal accommodations that make them feel safe and welcome.

Our YRS staff is hoping to raise $10,000 to purchase exercise equipment, recreational games, mobile device accessories, and other personal accommodation items.

Thank you for helping the youth we serve become more resilient!

Topics included the budget priorities of the County Executive, budget priorities of County Council, and how health & human services will be impacted in the post-American Rescue Plan Act funding era.
