Metro45 Mobile Kitchen & Catering is an LMM social enterprise that empowers individuals and creates change through culinary training and food education for the community.

Volunteer with Friend-to-Friend

Friend-to-Friend Prison Ministry is a program that matches volunteers with residents of Northeast Reintegration Center and Grafton Correctional Institution. The purpose of the match is to establish a friendship. The volunteers commit to visiting once a month and writing a letter or card once a month. Volunteers are matched with residents who receive few or no visits and are in need of a friend to communicate with as they navigate the criminal justice system.

Multicultural Women's Health Fair & Empowerment Expo

The MetroHealth System and the Vernon Family Foundation are partnering to present the inaugural Multicultural Women’s Health Fair & Empowerment Expo on September 30, a day dedicated to supporting women from every background and stage of life to take charge of their health, well-being and personal growth.


This event is an example of MetroHealth's commitment to eradicating the health disparities that lead to devastating statistics: Black women, for example, are at a higher risk for many serious health issues, including heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes. And they are more than twice as likely to die from complications during pregnancy and childbirth.
